The Oklahoma Capitol Project Advisory Committee, under the leadership of former State representative Gary Banz, has commissioned Kincannon Studios of Austin, Texas to deliver two complete schematic design proposals for the site across from the east entrance to the Oklahoma State Capitol which was approved by the Oklahoma Capitol Preservation Commission in late 2017. The proposals are expected to be ready for review by mid to late August.
Kincannon Studios was the designer and project manager for America’s first monument of The Bill of Rights, at the Arizona State Capitol in Phoenix. The monument was completed on budget and on schedule, and has since become a favorite destination on Capitol Mall, visited and viewed by upwards of 40,000 school children annually, along with many more visitors of all ages.
